Since 1906, JL Goslar has been known at its Goslar production site as an expert in processing lead, tin and their alloys – and today manufactures specialised technological products for international industry.
More than a lead producer
Long-standing metallurgical and physical know-how in processing and applying lead, tin and their alloys is JL Goslar's core competence. Today we are active in three strategic business segments: radiation protection & semi-finished products, apparatus engineering lead/steel and anodes for metal extraction.
We generate a large part of our sales with high-quality specialised products: radiation protection for industrial CT systems and medical technology, apparatus and containers for low-level radioactive substances, transport containers for bromine and other hazardous substances, wet electrostatic precipitators and anodes for electroplating and metal production.

Safety for product and application
JL Goslar introduced a certified quality assurance system as early as 1994. Since 2004, our quality management has been certified to the process-oriented standard DIN EN ISO 9001 – today in its 2015 edition – and is continuously developed in an ongoing improvement process.
Aiming for an integrated management system covering quality, environmental protection and occupational safety, we have anchored environmental management in all processes since the mid-1990s – followed in 2014 by certification to DIN EN ISO 14001.
A closed loop
Recycling minimises the need to extract further resources from the earth and enables a complete cycle. Lead has the highest recycling rate of all common metals – thanks to its physicochemical properties and a product design that makes lead products easy to identify and collect.
Its low melting point allows recycling with little environmental impact. Residual metals from our production are collected by type; what cannot be reused directly is remelted into high-quality raw materials by our partners.
